Meet the Assistant Principal

Dear Marcus Whitman Students and Families,

Welcome back! I hope you had a relaxing and fun summer, and that you're as excited as I am to begin a new school year at Marcus Whitman Middle School.

This will be my 10th year as assistant principal here, and I can confidently say: this is a great place to learn, grow, and be part of something special. Our school is full of bright, kind, and capable students, and a staff that truly cares about each and every one of them. I’m proud of the work we’ve done together over the years, and even more excited about where we’re headed.

This year, we’re focused on making sure every student feels a strong sense of belonging and pride in their school. That means clear expectations, consistent support, and lots of opportunities for students to succeed—both in and out of the classroom. Whether you're stepping into middle school for the first time or returning as an 8th grader ready to lead, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

To our families and caregivers: thank you for your partnership and trust. We know that students do best when schools and families work together, and we’re committed to keeping those connections strong all year long.

I’m looking forward to seeing our hallways full of energy again, to hearing your ideas, and to celebrating all the big and small wins ahead. Let’s make this school year one of growth, kindness, and success—for everyone.

See you soon!
